We are a branch of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston Massachusetts. In 1879, Mary Baker Eddy founded the Church "to commemorate the word and works of our Master, (Christ Jesus) which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing." * Mrs. Eddy found God in the pages of the Bible and wrote Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures as a spiritual interpretation of the Bible.
The St. Charles Society was formed in 1921 and recognized as a Church in 1969, we held our first service at our present location on January 25, 1986.
Christian Scientists are people from all walks of life striving to meet daily challenges through their understanding of God and their relationship to him.
